I am a computer scientist and engineer, with interests and experience in computer architecture (hardware and software), parallel computing, embedded systems, high-performance computing, heterogeneous parallel systems, models of computation, and software engineering. Useful in the pursuit of these interests has been my experience with object oriented design, performance evaluation, simulation, modeling, partitioning and mapping or parallel programs. On my general topics page, I explain a little more what these interests are.
I have some education, and a few publications.
I have a page with a short summary of my work experience. This contains some specific examples of things I have done based on the more general topics above.
I have some thoughts about possible, and interesting future developments in computing, and in some other fields. I hope we will get past the days of the desktop PC as the dominant force in software development. A lot of this is almost common knowledge now in the more forward looking sections of the computing industry. A few things may strike some people as "out there". But then, a little speculation is called for when one deals with a forward looking industry and science.
You can find me if you want.
Here are some generally useful links. All of this is public domain. You could have found this yourself, I am sure.
This is a web site. It must have pictures. I like landscapes, cloudscapes, sunsets, and those kinds of things. There will be more when I have the time, and the luck to see some nice things when I have a camera with me (last time was 2005-02-20).
Here is some free software (open source), for some special purposes. It's for discrete event simulation and more.
